With approximately 900 shipments per year and over 100 Country Offices overseas, the Project Manager will supervise all aspects of household good shipments and related issues.
This is a key position with overall accountability for the planning, program development, administration and performance monitoring of contracts for shipping of staff owned personal effects.
The key aspects of the role will include:
· Contract management: from document review, valuation of potential freight forwarders and moving partners, negotiation and chargeback process monitoring of USD 8 million annual relocation expenses.
· Administration/compliance: Develop and implement administrative policies, standards, tools and procedures.
· Customer service: Responds to staff demands and working to fulfil requests based on applicable policies, procedures and regulations.
· Industry Knowledge/training: maintain and updates knowledge of trends and developments in the household effects, relocation and shipping industries through courses, seminars, workshops and conferences.
What we are looking for:
The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 7 to 10 years experience in the shipping of household goods industry with predominantly international shipping experience.
You must have strong contract management skills, good commercial acumen, broad business perspective and understanding of the importance of customers. Budgeting, financial management and cost control experience is essential.
Interpersonally, you convey confidence and composure, lead from the front, influence and motivate positive change through exceptional relationship management skills.
You have excellent verbal and written communication skills in English. The knowledge of a second language would be an asset.
